I use Palo Santo essential oil too in various ways, including a cleansing spray with cedarwood and eucalyptus before I put fresh sheets on the bed. And I like to put it in some of my supportive infusions as well. It just feels good and protective.
According to the Sacred Wood Essence website, Palo Santo has been used for a long time by shamans and medicine people - similarly to white sage - for space clearing, meditation, healing, with the added benefit of keeping the pesky insects away. And it is sustainable as hell, so that’s pretty great, too. It has gained popularity because of its use in Ayahuasca circles. And I would *totally* hug the tree from which the Palo Santo comes.
